Uncover the stories of Toronto’s railways with our outdoor tours! The Toronto Railway Museum Outdoor Tour explores how Toronto’s railways shaped the social landscape of the city since their introduction in the early 1800s. How were Toronto’s oldest communities impacted by the development of the railways? Further, what stories do our train cars tell? Join us to find out! Tours are in-depth, guided walking tours that take visitors around the museum grounds and tour length is approximately 30 minutes.
Firstly, outdoor tours take place entirely outdoors and do not enter the museum space or inside the train cars as per Stage 1 of the Ontario reopening plan. Masks are mandatory throughout the duration of the guided tour. Also, groups should maintain a physical distance of 2 metres from other visitors and TRM staff. Finally, all guided tour tickets must be pre-booked in advance. Timed ticketing will accommodate reduced visitor numbers and physical distancing. Tours run 4 times per day: 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm, and 4:00pm! Pre-book your tickets here.
