At the Toronto Railway Museum, our mini train ride is a can’t-miss attraction. For example, since our museum opened back in 2010, we have had almost half a million riders on our train! Our train runs along half a kilometre of track in Roundhouse Park. Along the way, you can see the entirety of Roundhouse Park, our rolling stock, and the famous CN Tower. Tickets can be purchased in person at the historic Don Station in Roundhouse Park (where you board the mini train, adjacent to our Museum Store).
2024 Mini Train Season
Our train operates on a seasonal basis, and is subject to current weather conditions and staff availability. Please note that Mini Train operations are weather dependent.

Hours of Operation
During our days of operation, the Mini Train runs from 12:00 pm-5:00 pm (the last ride will depart the station at 4:50pm). Our mini train ride is very popular and tickets sell out fast, so please purchase your tickets in advance on the day. If you have any questions, or for the most up-to-date train schedules, please call the museum 416-214-9229.
Tickets
Mini Train tickets are sold in person at the historic Don Station. Passengers purchase a ticket for a designated time slot. Tickets are $5 per person and a ticket must be purchased for each rider.
Boarding
Mini Train passengers are encouraged to line up along the Don Station platform five minutes before their ticket time slot begins. The train leaves promptly at the scheduled time. Look for the white tent and museum staff on the platform at Don Station.
Rules for Riders
Since the Mini Train is a piece of heavy machinery, we have put rules in place to keep our riders safe. Firstly, all children (under the age of fourteen) must be accompanied by an adult, no exceptions. Secondly, riders must stay seated and keep their hands and feet to themselves throughout the ride. Riding on the train is one of the highlights of the Toronto Railway Museum, and we want it to be safe and enjoyable for all.
