Royal Train Tours of Canada

Thank you to everyone who attended our first lecture of 2021, Royal Train Tours of Canada. In honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s 95th Birthday, we celebrated with an evening of railway history with a royal tour.

This lecture was the kick off for our “10th Anniversary Take Two” campaign.

Thank you to Planting Pearl for providing our opening music. We loved to hear the royal and Canadian anthems with a jazz twist.

We went on a journey to the past as we examined Royal Tours of Canada. Firstly, we looked at tours during the 19th century through to today. Secondly, we celebrated Her Majesty’s 95th Birthday and our rich Royal ties by looking back on our beloved Monarch’s many rail tours across Canada. Finally, we reviewed the 2020 UK Royal train tour of William and Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. This tour was to thank essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
