January 13, 2026 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Royal Tours and Rail Journeys in the life and reign of King Charles III

In November 2025, King Charles III celebrated his 77th birthday by driving a tram-train in Wales while opening a new rail depot. The reign of King Charles III, however, has also seen the decommissioning of the royal train in the United Kingdom. Join Dr. Carolyn Harris as will discuss the changing role of trains in the life and reign of King Charles III over the course of decades of royal tours.
